Gym training Exercises
Total Gym exercises are weight training exercises in which you use a multi functional type of fitness equipment that is called a total gym, manufactured by the company EFI Sports Medicine Incorporated. The total gym equipment is familiar to most North American households thanks to the actor Chuck Norris who has been promoting it in TV spots for over 10 years.
Bowflex exercises are similar to strength exercises in that they are not freeweight exercises but are also different in that one machine can be modified to do many different exercises. Bowflex machines are primarily found in people's home gyms although certain commercial gyms, although rare, offer them on their floors.
Like similar all-in-one home gyms (such as the bowflex and the crossbow) the total gym enables you to workout every major muscle group using this lone piece of fitness machine. The way the total gym achieves this feat is by providing you with a glide board and pulley system that together are able to harness gravity through the weight of your body.
Total gym machines are most often found in people's home gyms although EFI Sports Medicine has recently introduced models tailored at commercial establishments. One of the reason the total gym has been so successful over the years is its low price point; you'll be able to find a basic model for under $500 easily, which is pretty good for a piece of equipment that is able to target every major muscle group in your body and which doesn't take too much floor space.
